Our Story

In 1938 my great-grandfather, James Ellis, opened Ellis Equipment Company. He supplied tractors, parts, and service to the agricultural farming community in Northern Utah and Southern Idaho.

In the late 1960’s Ellis Equipment began offering steel structures to protect those valuable agricultural assets. Over 3 more generations we have perfected the building process and expanded into many industries.

Some of my earliest memories were driving with my dad to a job site, talking about life, and learning all I could about buildings. After graduating from Utah State University I chose to stay local and continue this legacy. Being able to carry on the tradition of my father and grandfathers has been a great privilege and honor.

In 2018 our steel building division grew into its own entity – Ellis Builders Company. While continuing to serve our Agricultural community we now construct Schools, Fitness Gyms, Indoor Arenas, City Offices, Fire Stations, Hangars, and many other commercial projects. We hope the legacy of generations will live on with the best service, quality, traditional values, and trust that you deserve.
